What is ASSIST?

A national social security helpline for community workers.

We are a phone-based service providing information, guidance and referral support for social security issues, including payments, eligibility, applications, reviews, appeals and debts.

Who do we help?

We help community workers supporting people with social security issues.

Whether the person they are supporting is applying for a payment, receiving a payment, or experiencing problems with Centrelink or their social security entitlements.

How do we help?

Our social security advisors provide information and support via phone. We help community workers understand options and navigate processes.

Where the person being supported may benefit from legal advice, we can facilitate a referral to a community legal centre.

This is a pilot project, and we are working to do our best to build and deliver great services. If you are a community worker who has an issue with the services delivered or your ability to access to ASSIST please fill fill your details in here.

DISCLAIMER: If you are not a community worker who has had a call with ASSIST, we will not attend to your message and delete all information included.
